The Jack Benny Program – Guest Bob Hope (2/3)

Jack welcomes Bob Hope as his guest in this episode. The program begins with Jack’s monologue but he is soon joined by Hope. The skit which follows is about the act of Benny and Hope (or Hope and Benny, depending on the time) trying to convince their manager to book them somewhere…anywhere. The show has some great one-liners and it is very entertaining to watch these two show biz veterans, who obviously have a great liking for one another, work together. This episode was previously edited and runs short, a little under nineteen minutes, but it is nineteen minutes of splendid comedy. This video brought to you by hwy61media. With ANY given hypnotist’s role in the movies Joel, Mike, and the bots riff on, Servo usually makes the quote "SLEEEEP!!" really loud and hilarious. I’m pretty sure it’s either from a Bela Lugosi or Boris Karloff film, but my search through the internet has yielded no results. What movie is Tom Servo quoting from, anyways?

Burns and Allen – Guest Jack Benny (2/3)

This is a hilarious episode of The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show. How could it be otherwise when you include Jack Benny? George is upset with Jack, contending that Jack stole his opening joke at a charity event they worked together in San Francisco. George isn’t speaking to Jack and Jack is concerned. The two exchange some great barbs throughout the show. Gracie gives Jack a run for his money on funny one-liners. She has so many you really have to pay close attention to get them all. Gracie was wonderful. Ok, I know someone will ask what decalcomania is. I didn’t know so I found the definition here: www.thefreedictionary.com “1. (Clothing, Personal Arts & Crafts / Crafts) the art or process of transferring a design from prepared paper onto another surface, such as china, glass or paper 2. (Clothing, Personal Arts & Crafts / Crafts) a design so transferred” I have to presume that George was saying that Jack’s tattoos were just images transferred to his skin and not real tattoos. You can find videos on decalcomania here on YouTube. Notice the integrated commercial for the show’s sponsor, Carnation Evaporated Milk, beginning at 17:33 and again at 26:08. I wish commercials were still done this way. It’s mentioned twice that Jack appeared courtesy of Lucky Strike (part of the American Tobacco Company), the sponsor for his show at the time.. Bea Benadaret appears as Blanche Morton. This video brought to you by hwy61media. Please take a moment to rate this video and add

Does anyone else think CSI: Miami is hilarious?!?

First, the show begins as two crazy teenagers are about to engage in sexual activity of some sort. They are usually doing it in a place that they shouldn’t, instantly heightening the viewers excitement level. Then, coming as a COMPLETE shock to the audience, the couple stumbles onto a body. But this body isn’t like most bodies in reality, it’s usually absurdly disgusting, with over-the-top gore effects. The female then screams, proving that that is all that women are good for. Cut to the next day, when the CSI team, including Hoaratio, finally gets there. They exchange comments about the weather and the state of the pornography community. One then makes a remark involving the victims and/or the crime, followed instantly by Horatio’s perfectly timed, not at all clichéd, one-liner. He then leaps out of the frame using his red hair to blind the audience. The rest isn’t really that important, except for the parts where Horatio talks, which is always important and dramatic.
